OAK ISLAND, NC - Summertime is just around the corner and for most of us, that means heading to the beach to soak up some sun. But this latest round of shark tales has some people a little nervous about heading to the sandy shores after two young people were attacked by sharks in North Carolina.

The first shark attack happened to a 13-year-old girl while she was swimming near an Oak Island Pier. Less than 90 minutes later, a 16-year-old boy was attacked at the same beach.

Both of them survived the brutal attacks, but the whole situation has places like California stepping things up a bit. There, a beach lifeguard unit is using quadcopter drones to help protect swimmers.
