LOS FELIZ, CA – An unarmed man in his 30s was shot by Los Angeles police officers, and it was caught on camera.

According to LAPD, the man had flagged the officers down, but when they pulled up, it looked like he had a gun.

“This person then extended [his] arm, which was wrapped in a towel, and the officer exited the vehicle and quickly said, ‘drop the gun, drop the gun,’ and an officer-involved shooting occurred,” said Lt. John Jenal with LAPD.

The man was hospitalized in critical condition. Neighbors say he may have been a transient.
