Austin nurse who died in line of duty honored by hospital

AUSTIN -  Austin flight nurse, Kristin McClain, made news back in April when she was killed while in the line of duty after falling from a helicopter during a rescue operation over a hiking trail. She fell out of the helicopter when her hoist was detached.

McClain's the first STAR Flight worker to die in its 30 years of operations, a loss that hospital staff does not take lightly. To show their support for her  sacrifice hospital staff and Kristin's family attended a memorial dedication in which the hospital's helipad was renamed in her honor.
