Chávez H.S. girls race cardboard boats for RICE STEM initiative

HOUSTON - Every raced cardboard boats in your high school pool? Well if you haven't, it's because you're not as cool as the girls in the Chávez High School STEM program.

These girls caped a three-year experience in the Rice University STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) initiative Thursday where twelve teams competed in a cardboard canoe regatta race.
