PECOS COUNTY, TX - Halfway to El Paso: that's where a man suspected of a deadly workplace shooting turned himself in.

Houston Police say Rodney Jackson walked into the Pecos County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday. He'll be extradited to Houston to face murder charges after he allegedly shot the manager who told him he was going to be laid off.

Jackson worked at Val-Fit. On Tuesday, manager Jason Yanko called Jackson into his office and told Jackson he was being laid off. Jackson allegedly went out to his truck, grabbed a gun and returned, shooting Yanko. The victim died at the scene.
