AUSTIN, TX - While online retailers and stores are busy clearing Confederate flags and similar merchandise from their shelves. folks at the University of Texas are busy cleaning off their campus statues. The phrase "black lives matter" was sprayed on two of three defaced statues displaying Confederate leaders on the college campus Tuesday night.

Robert E. Lee and Albert S. Johnston, Generals who served in the Confederacy, along with Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederate States of America were all tagged.

U.T. Austin President Greg Fenves said a committee of students, faculty members and alumni will be formed to discuss the future of the monuments, but if actions speak louder than words it seems some on this campus have already made up their minds.
