Would-be robber accidentally shoots woman in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Harris County sheriff’s deputies are looking for the suspect who shot a woman in what appears to be an accident during a robbery on Wednesday.

Deputies say the man sneaked into a back door of the Family Dollar in northwest Harris County. As he was trying to restrain the three employees, his gun went off. The bullet hit a women in the back. She was airlifted to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The robber, though, ran off and deputies haven’t found him yet.
