BERKS COUNTY, PA - Forget a white wedding; you could bill some Pennsylvania nuptials as the "Red Wedding." Well, maybe not the Red Wedding with which Game of Thrones fans are familiar, but police say the Papoutsis reception did turn bloody.

"We have lots of receptions and company picnics and parties that go on without a hitch," said Doug Mehrkam, the owner of Blue Falls Grove, where the reception was held. "This is not one of them."

So what happened? Police say a guest approached a mother whose 14-year-old son was drunk. Then the mother punched the other guest in the face. Multiple people jumped in - so many that 16 police departments responded to the melee.

"I just saw three groups separating and fighting and at that point I realized I needed some help," Mehrkam said, explaining why he called for police.

In all, seven people ended up behind bars, including the groom himself. But the bride wasn't exactly innocent in all this; she had to be treated for alcohol poisoning.

It's safe to say this wasn't the wedding night the couple had planned.
