Dad tased, mom shot after fighting back during SW Houston home invasion

HOUSTON, TX - A husband and wife are in the hospital after fighting back against two armed robbers.

Around 10 p.m. Wednesday, police say the couple and their two kids were home in their southwest Houston apartment when two men busted through the door. The suspects held the family at gunpoint, but the father tried to take them on. A suspect tased him, then the other suspect shot his wife.

The armed robbers made off with the family's TV before officers got on the scene. The couple was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Their children are being watched by family friends.
