HOUSTON, TX - Running from a gunman, a man gets hit by a car, then shot in the middle of the street.

Houston Police say they got a call about a shooting in the 9400 block of Cullen Blvd. around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Officers say the victim was at a gas station filling up his car when a man with an assault rifle started chasing him. The victim, trying to get away, ran out into the street, where he was hit by a car. Officers say that's when the suspect shot the victim, killing him.

"We do not know at this time the motive of the shooting," Officer Cory Sharp. "That's why we're hoping anyone who has any information can contact us and shed some light on this incident."

Officers say the suspect got away in a champagne-colored Impala. If you have any information about the case, call HPD.
