HOUSTON -- Several female students from Jack Yates High School can be heard accusing an assistant principal of touching them in a newly released recording.

Yates teacher Shannon Bonner recorded the girls while they described their frequent run-ins with assistant principal Ray Gatlin.  HISD said Gatlin has been reassigned while the district carries out an internal investigation.

The district also said the accusations were already looked at by police back in May but when a student and her family declined to press charges, the case was closed.

Bonner believes the district mishandled the complaints from eight students and wants to make sure their claims are taken seriously.
