Liberty County, TX - It has been seven weeks since the torrential, Memorial Day storms that left much of Houston underwater. While most of us have long since dried out, and others continue rebuilding, some people along the Trinity River in Liberty County have been waiting for help.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency could not assess the damage and assist homeowners while their homes were still flooded.

But today, FEMA officials went door-to-door, helping victims register for assistance.

It has been a long wait for flood victims in need of disaster relief.  Hopefully it was worth the wait and people can now begin to rebuild their homes and their lives.
