On this day in 1985, Elton John resigned to MCA record with a record advance of eight million dollars. In 1964, The Supremes were in the studios recording one of their biggest hits, "Come See About Me" and in 1996, a record for largest jam session was set when more than 2000 guitarists came together to perform Elvis' "Heartbreak Hotel."
