COLLEGE STATION, TX – Aggies fans will have to wait 52 days to see their team in action, but they got to hear from A&M’s head football coach on Tuesday.

Kevin Sumlin spoke at SEC Media Day, highlighting the first game of the season against Arizona State at NRG Stadium. Sumlin says he’s ready for the challenge and expectations that come with being part of the SEC.

“Three years ago, I don’t think there’s anyone out there who thought we’d win 28 games in three years coming into the SEC, particularly the SEC West. Where we are right now, there’s an expectation that we should be better,” said Sumlin. “That’s something that we’ve created and something that we’ve embraced. Our guys like that.”

In his three seasons at A&M, Sumlin led his team to 28 wins. The 2015 season kicks off Sept. 5.
