Astros enter second half of the season sniffing the playoffs

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Astros enter the second half of the year having won nine more games than they did at this point last season.

Houston’s 49-42 record is the team’s best at the All-Star break since 2003.

The Astros are currently in second place in the AL West, trailing the Angels by half a game.

Houston kicks off the rest of its season by hosting the Texas Rangers for a three-game series starting on Friday.
