WASHINGTON D.C. – At least for the moment, he's trumping his competition.

According to a new poll by Suffolk University and USA Today, Donald Trump has 17 percent support of likely Republican primary voters in his bid for president, followed by Jeb Bush with 14 percent, and the rest of the GOP group in the single digits.

The Trump jump comes on the heels of a lot of media coverage regarding his comments about illegal immigration and Mexico.

The poll's margin of error is plus or minus five and a quarter points, so he's only ahead by a hair.
