BALTIMORE, MD - We all know money doesn't grow on trees. But occasionally it rains from the sky, or it at least spills from the car in front of you.

A driver snapped photos from inside Baltimore's Harbor Tunnel moments after an armored truck spilled cash into the path's of drivers. It was all the buzz on twitter, with witnesses saying the back door of the truck somehow opened up while driving.

The cash spread over the entire one and a half mile stretch of the south-bound side of the tunnel. You might imagine some drivers had no problem a stopping to help "clean up" the mess. Sgt. Jonathon Green with the Maryland Transportation Authority Police says,  "It's not their money, so yes that would be theft."

Police blocked off both ends of the tunnel and rerouted traffic for nearly 7 hours as they collected most of the lost bills.

Cops are now asking drivers who may have come across some of the money to give it back.
