ORLANDO, FL – As Mr. T might say, pity the fool who ran down a Orlando, Florida police officer and left him in the middle of the street.

It all started with an early morning traffic stop.

Police aren’t saying why officer William Anderson approached the car with his weapon drawn. But he did, and that’s when some dude on the passenger side bailed. When Anderson jumped in front of the car, the driver took off, trapping the officer between the car and the one in front.

Anderson got off two shots as the car hit him, and then both drivers left him lying injured on the pavement.

And here’s where something really strange happens. The dash cam caught another driver pull up and stop at the intersection, and then sit there, not getting out.

Finally, about twenty seconds after the hit-and-run, another driver pulled in front of the injured officer and blocked the intersection.

Cops found the car on fire about nine miles away. Police charged a 17-year-old male and are looking for two other guys.

The officer was hospitalized, but will survive.

The parents of the suspect have file an excessive-force complaint against him because of the two shots he fired as the driver was running him down.

On the other hand, nothing but praise for the cops who pulled a man from a burning car in Paramus, NJ.

The car flipped after hitting a utility pole. It also caught on fire twice, the second time after police pulled the driver to safety.

The accident shut down the highway for eight hours and knocked out power to the area.

But the driver walked away, not even burned, which is more than can be said for what used to be his car.
