LARKSPUR, CO - Here's a story about a damsel, but not one who is in distress. However, the man she took down at Renaissance Festival in Colordao is.

Brittany Beard says, "I thought if I don't chase this guy with my husbands $400 sword then he's going to get away with it."

Just after Brittany's husband finished taking part in his jousting performance, a jester thought he could make a break for it with her husband's sword in hand.

Bryan Beard says, "In 25 years of jousting and we all like to tell stories around the campfire I've never even heard of anything like this happening."

But this knight had a fair damsel willing to do something about it by chacing the suspect through the crowd of thousands before taking him down all the while pictures were being snapped.

Brittany says, "I grabbed his shirt probably right about here and it ripped in two.... I caught him off guard so I jumped on his back and kinda put him in a headlock."

So, this tale of "renaissance recovery" ends in a much different way than the traditional fairytale - 'twas not the knight, but the damsel who served the justice.
