HOUSTON, TX - Grab a magazine and take a peak: Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are getting a divorce. Arian Foster fathered a baby with another woman and his wife said she's had enough. What's going on? Is cheating a rite of passage for celebrities?
"I think it's just that maybe they're not happy with their home lives," said Houston resident Emily Slosberg. "Obviously there's a lot of temptation."
"I guess they've got a lot of money so they feel they can do whatever they wanna do," added Keenon Duplechain.
But then we learned about these hackers who broke into Ashley Madison, a website for cheaters or cheater wannabes, and are threatening to expose millions of users, and their sexual preferences. Some 37 million subscribers are at risk! You could be one of them,or maybe your significant other is.
"It's a great idea," laughed Slosberg. "Expose the cheaters. I wanna know. I'm not married yet, I'm looking. I wanna look on that list and make sure my future husband is not a cheater."
So, why do people cheat? Are we cheaters by nature?
"People are always looking for something more, when they know what's most important is what they have here, in the relationship that they're in." said Chris O'Neal. "There's nothing better across the street."
"I think there's a lot of cheating and there's a lot of divorce, but there's still something to be said about loyalty," expressed Tylee Milan.
And what are the signs that someone is cheating?
"A foolproof sign is if you find a video tape and you see your husband or boyfriend cheating," suggested Slosberg. "That's a sign." Or pure evidence, if you will.
"I really don't have an answer for cheating," confessed Duplechain. "I guess it's all about self control. But if you cheat, just don't get caught."
To cheat or not to cheat? Few relationships can survive that question.
