CYPRESS, TX – The search is on for a Cypress woman’s estranged husband after a fire burned down her garage overnight.

Around 12 a.m. Friday, Cy-Fair Fire crews got a call about a house fire on Valebluff Ln. near Hollygate Ln. Flames had destroyed the garage, a car inside and a car in the driveway. Firefighters got the fire under control, keeping it contained to the garage, but one firefighter was treated for fatigue at the scene.

Here’s the twist: the woman who lived at the home called 911 earlier in the evening after her estranged husband threatened her, allegedly even telling her he would burn the house down. Deputies haven’t tracked him down yet.
