HOUSTON – The preseason has yet to kick off and already the Houston Texans have suffered a loss. Star running back Arian Foster injured his groin and most likely will require surgery. Reports indicate the severity of the injury could cause the Texans to place Foster on the injured reserve list but he could return in eight weeks which would mean he only would miss first four games of the season if the Texans went that route.

Former Saints running back Pierre Thomas is supposed to get a look by the Texans and the team is fairly confident in the abilities of second year running back Alfred Blue.
