LOS ANGELES, CA - By now, you've probably heard the 'Ghostbusters' franchise is getting an all-female reboot, starring Melissa Mccarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. But let's face it; the remake wouldn't be right without Peter Venkman.
Well, fans of the first one, rejoice! Bill Murray is proving he still ain't afraid of no ghosts--the comedian has agreed to appear in the 2016 film. Fellow OG Dan Aykroyd will also make a cameo.
There's been talk of a third 'Ghostbusters' film for years, but Murray wasn't so gung-ho, especially since the second one sucked. So what changed his mind? Apparently, he's loving the ladies--a new twist conceived by director Paul Feig. No word yet if he'll reprise the roll of Venkman, but we can tell you Dan Akyroyd is making a cameo as a cabbie.
Maybe a whole new generation will get into the 'Ghostbusters' phenomenon, but nothing--and we mean nothing--will ever be as good as the original.
