SOUTH HOUSTON -- A hit and run suspect is on the run again, this morning, after escaping during a police chase, in south Houston.

Late Wednesday police tried to pull over the suspect driving without his headlights on.

After running the license plate they learned it had been involved in a hit and run earlier in the day.

The driver refused to stop leading police on a short chase , all while throwing little baggies of drugs out the window.

He bailed, running into the woods, after crashing into a fence at an apartment complex off of Selinsky.

Turns out he wasn't alone in the truck. His passenger tried to jump out of the truck during the chase and got injured. After being treated he was arrested.

Police tell us there were also five female juveniles crammed in the back seat.
