HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE -- On Monday morning, a safari guide was mauled by a lion at the same Zimbabwean national park where the Cecil the lion, the cat slain by American dentist Walter Palmer, used to live.

Quinn Swales had reportedly been leading a walking tour when the lion suddenly charged. The 40-year-old died of his injuries shortly after.

Camp Hwange posted on Facebook that Swales did everything he could to protect his guests. No one else was hurt.
