COLLEGE STATION, TX- Looking for a good party? Turn your GPS and head towards College Station which, according to travel website Gogobot, is the most exciting city in Texas.
Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas were left behind by a town of slightly over 100,000 people. And we're willing to bet that the Aggie spirit has something to do with it.
To make the list, Gogobot measured hotels, restaurants, bars and outdoors spots per capita. College Station ranked fifth or better in all the categories, hence the trophy. An hour and a half drive North of Houston, College Station is the home of Texas A&M, loud Aggies fans and a vibrant night life.
But even if you're not so into partying, there's another reason why College Station deserves two thumbs up:
"I think it's exciting just because of the atmosphere and the people here," said student Anna Maldonado. "They're so nice to each other and they're just so welcoming; you really feel like you have people to talk to all the time, and that's kind of what makes it fun"
That said it all.
