HOUSTON, Tx - Family and friends poured through the doors at The Church at Bethel's Family on Saturday, for the funeral of 17-year-old Mariya Johnson, one of the two young girls killed in an Houston Independent School District bus crash on September 15th.

Mariya had just started at REACH Charter School, which is where she was heading on her school bus, when it careened off a 610 overpass in Southeast Houston.

Mariya's funeral program bore in name in elegant script, and was decorated with pretty pink shoes and a crown. The ceremony echoed a similar theme, as the family laid their princess to rest, surrounded by gorgeous pink flowers and the love of many who knew her.

Mariya's parents are continuing to look into exactly what happened the day their daughter died, and plan to hold those involved legally responsible, but on Saturday, their only focus was peacefully laying their daughter to rest, and saying goodbye to their little girl one last time.
