HOUSTON, TX - Jamarcus Bailey has become the quarterback at Furr High School, but it wasn't his choice.

"We had a circumstance at the end of the school year," Brahmas head coach Cornell Gray said. "One of my best players, my starting quarterback, Michael Davis, was murdered."

Bailey has tried to lead his team the best he can, and says football helps honor the people the team's lost.

"Best thing we can do is grind for them," Bailey said. "Once you come to Furr, you're part of the Furr family. We try to get wins for the people that we've lost and cannot be here."

Following his senior year, Bailey looks forward to going to college and hopes to play football at the next level.
