WASHINGTON, DC - It’s no secret, the cost of higher education doesn't often make the grade. According to studentdebt.org, the total student debt in the U.S. is $1.2 trillion.
"Most of the people who have that debt are middle class, and they don’t make enough money to pay it. It’s like having the worst credit card ever," said financial expert Holly Signorelli. "You can not walk away from student loan debt, it will follow you forever.”
