HOUSTON, TX - The Texans quarterback carousel took another turn on Monday, as head coach Bill O'Brien announced Brian Hoyer will start the next game against Jacksonville.

Hoyer replaced Ryan Mallett during the second quarter of Thursday's loss to Indianapolis.  Mallett appeared to be ready to go back in after going to the sideline following a big hit, but O'Brien stuck with Hoyer for the rest of the game.

"I think it's 11 one-game seasons," O'Brien said at a Monday press conference. "So, he's the starter for Jacksonville. I think over the last two games, he's gone in there with a really good attitude, with a calmness about him, with really good mechanics."

Hoyer threw for 312 yards with two touchdowns and an interception against the Colts.
