Prostitution sting operation leads to 12 arrests

On Wednesday, October 7, Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Proactive Command and Detectives from the Deer Park Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division participated in a joint prostitution sting operation.

With the cooperation of a local motel, undercover officers arranged meetings with women who advertised under “adult services” on an internet advertising site. When the women arrived at the motel and agreed to engage in prostitution they were arrested.

All of the women arrived with companions, mostly males. Many of the companions were also arrested for various charges.   A total of 12 people were arrested during the sting operation resulting in four felonies and eight misdemeanor charges.

Various quantities of marijuana and methamphetamine were seized, along with one handgun.
