HOUSTON – There have been three shootings in less than a week around the campus of Texas Southern University. In response, TSU is implementing new security measures.

Officials say there will be an 11 p.m. curfew in all campus housing complexes, around the clock security, and a mandatory sigh-in and sign-out policy in campus housing.

Other measures include:

  • Authorized random room checks for security purposes
  • Increased security by adding three patrol shifts to student housing and dorms
  • Approved Apartment Parking lot entrance revisions

The university also says there will be a Campus Carry Forum Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Tiger Room.
