University of Houston announced as host for 2016 Super Tuesday debate

HOUSTON, TX - The elephants are coming! The elephants are coming! Today the Coogs announced they will host some really big elephants come February 2016.

The Republican Super Tuesday debate will be held February 26 on the University of Houston campus.

This will be the last chance for those republican candidates left standing to reach voters in these nine Texas, Alabama, Arkansas Georgia, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia before their primary contests on March 1st.   Alaska, Minnesota and Wyoming will also award delegates on the same day.

In a statement, UH President Renu Khator said “This debate comes at a pivotal moment in the election cycle. We`re delighted to host a national conversation with real-life impact on our community and country...”

Just where on campus the G.O.P. plans to claw it out has yet to be decided, but the university has dedicated a spot on their website,, where you can keep up with additional details as they are made available.
