NEW CANEY, TX - New Caney Elementary School is warning parents after two students were diagnosed with the highly contagious hand, foot, and mouth disease.

New Caney ISD sent parents a letter informing them about the virus is spread and what symptoms to look out for. According to doctors, the disease is not uncommon this time of year among children.

If your child has any of the symptoms, take them to the doctor.

Doctors say it usually takes 3-5 days for the virus to pass.
