HOUSTON – It's not every day that someone hijacks a METROLift van. But Hector Arajuo was unlucky enough to be along for the wild ride.

“I'm very scared, I can’t sleep…” he says.

Arajuo is 65 and disabled, and he's still pretty spooked from the experience.

Long story short, Arajuo was on the only passenger in the back of the van when some guy (his name hasn't been released) yanked the female driver out, and took off.

The suspect lead Metro Police, HPD, and Arajuo on a 30 minute chase before slamming into a fire hydrant in the heights. Arajuo was taken to the hospital as a precaution. He is okay.

The suspect faces aggravated robbery and evading police charges.
