GALVESTON, TX - It's the one question on every pregnant woman's mind: when will I go into labor?

Researchers at UTMB Galveston say they may have the answer.

Scientists there apparently found a cellular signal in the amniotic fluid around a fetus and determined that the signal builds up as the woman is preparing to go into labor.

Researchers say being able to detect the signal could help doctors determine the risks of early labor among other things.
