HOUSTON - Craig Biggio and the Sunshine Kids played ball at Minute Maid Park today. “For the kids to get on a Big League baseball field, run around a little bit, do a little hitting, run on the Hill, run the bases and just have some fun and smile… that’s what today is all about” explains the Hall of Famer.

No matter what they're battling, it looked like all the Sunshine Kids enjoyed todays festivities including Biggio, “I do enjoy it. It’s fun to be able to bring some kids out and some families out and forget about some of the things they may be going through.”

Ishma Blackwell, whose son Tyrese is a Sunshine Kid, is thankful, “Words can’t express the gratitude in our hearts for our kids to receive such intimate experience. I’m about to get teary because it means a lot.”

It might have been gloomy outside but it was a sunny day inside Minute Maid Park.
