HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - Some parents are singing the blues over a middle school class assignment; a song about Islam.

Nichole Negron's son's notebook shows drawings of stick figures with handwritten captions that read, "Believe in Allah" and "there is no God but Allah and Muhammed his prophet."

Reportedly, the social studies teacher rewrote the lyrics to pop singer Rachel Platten's 'Fight Song.'

Parents expressed their concerns about the assignment to the Ocean View School Board.  No word of any action being taken by the board.
