ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – Here’s a story about a gas station, a grandmother, and an accused carjacking punk.
It all started at a gas station in St. Louis County, Missouri, when security video caught a guy approaching a car driven by a 64-year-old woman who says he told her to get out of the car.
Her first thought was that someone was robbing the store where her mentally disabled daughter had gone in to get a drink.
He then told her he had a gun and to get out of the car. She told him to get away, then tried to shut the car door. “That`s when I realized I couldn't get the door shut. So I started kicking and screaming and beeping the horn."
She staggered into the gas station and called the cops who tracked her car to North St. Louis where they found 26-year-old Andrew Sanders behind the wheel.
He’s also from Ferguson, Missouri.
Yeah, the same town as Michael Brown and the riots that spread across the country after a Ferguson cop shot and killed brown last year.
Cops say this tough granny was lucky to come away with just scrapes and bruises.
They also say this is a lesson for everyone to be aware of what’s around you, ‘cause this bad hombre was just hanging around the pumps for several minutes.
Trouble just waiting to happen.
