HOUSTON, TX - Most comic book lovers will tell you they read comic books to escape reality, but now, reality is coming to life for Batman in his latest action-packed story.

The bad guys in this issue are corrupt police officers. The latest comic seems ripped from the headlines. In Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1, a young black man is shown with his hands up with officers' guns drawn and pointed at him.

As the story continues, Batman swoops in and beats up the cops. Then, things take an even darker turn for the Dark Knight when he's jumped by the whole Gotham police force. A chilling parallel to what's been going on around the country.

Interested in checking it out for yourself? It's on shelves now. When it comes to racism, the Dark Knight has quite a crusade ahead.
