High school shop class creates light sabers

SKOKIE, IL - A high school teacher is bringing his love of Star Wars into the classroom. Students at Niles North High School are learning about engineering and design with a little help from the force.

With the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Mr. Brzezinski is making sure his students learn the way of the Jedi. Now, students are working to put their design and coding skills to the test to make sure their light saber makes the grade.
