HOUSTON – Police are investigating whether two drive-by shootings that happened just moments apart in southwest Houston are connected.

The first shooting happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday night off Wuthering Heights.

Police say two cars drove by a house and opened fire. A woman who lives there was shot in the abdomen and was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable condition.

Shortly after, a man was also shot.

While police were on the scene, the man walked up to police and told them that he had been shot. The man suffered a minor graze to the side of his neck.

The suspects got away.
