The University Interscholastic League is expected to hold an emergency meeting this morning in Austin to discuss possible eligibility violations at Katy High School.

According to a statement issued by Katy ISD, the district’s athletic department “discovered the possibility of an ineligible student participating on the Katy High School football team.”

The district also says that the player was enrolled at another Katy ISD high school and had recently moved to the Katy High School attendance zone.

The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m.
