SEATTLE, WA – A series of vehicle hijackings and a police chase turned deadly Sunday as a violent felon put others at risk during the pursuit.

It was all caught on dash-cam video released this week by the Seattle Police Department.

At one point, an officer caught up with Raymond Azevedo at a stop light and rammed the Camaro he was driving. But that didn’t stop him as he headed for the sidewalk, then around the corner and down a corner lot.

And this hombre wasn’t going down easily, at least not without a gun fight. Video shows him firing several shots at pursuing officers.

Police finally t-boned his car as it rammed into the back of an SUV. The female driver of the vehicle couldn’t drive off, so she made a run for it as cops got into position for a possible stand-off.

Dash cam video shows him back up, point his gun, and head toward officers, who unloaded with a hail of bullets.

Azevedo died at the scene.

Cops say this was the third vehicle he hijacked at gunpoint that day. His long criminal record included convictions for car theft and eluding police.

On this day, his flight from cops turned into a dead-end.
