WALLER COUNTY, TX - You can't make this stuff up.  Thugs allegedly broke into two Waller County Sheriffs' vehicles parked outside a restaurant in Katy on Saturday and stole a whole arsenal.

The thieves ran off with several guns and uniform jackets.  All this while the deputies were choosing their entrees at Saltgrass Steakhouse, along Katy Freeway.

You would expect law enforcement agents to be more careful with the weapons they carry, but it looks like these fellows didn't hear that Houston has a crime problem.  To top it off, it seems security cameras were not working at the time of the burglary.

While Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information on the theft of guns, Waller County Sheriff's office refused to comment on the episode, claiming that there's an ongoing investigation.

One thing is for sure, though and that is those thieves already got all their Christmas presents.
