HOUSTON – As firefighters were returning from battling a massive apartment fire in the Galleria area yesterday, a second fire had already started.

The fire happened around 3:15 a.m. at a home off South Boulevard and Hazard.

Crews noticed smoke in the air as they were driving on the Southwest Freeway and followed it until it led them to the house that was engulfed in flames.

The house is vacant.

No one was injured, but the home was completely destroyed.
