HOUSTON - Three accidents late Monday/early Tuesday had emergency crews busy. Officials are investigating after a woman was struck by a wrong way driver on the North Freeway feeder road.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. this morning.

According to deputies, the driver of a passenger van crashed head on with the woman. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, another woman is recovering in the hospital this morning after her car was hit by an 18-wheeler on the East Freeway late Monday night.

According to officials, the woman’s car was stalled on the road and because the driver of the 18-wheeler didn’t see her in time, he slammed into the back of her car causing it to catch on fire.

The woman was taken to Memorial Hermann with burns on 30 percent of her body.

She is expected to survive.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.

Finally, a Harris County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in an overnight crash too. Around 4:30a.m. on the Katy Freeway Feeder Road (near the Grand Parkway), he was reportedly rear-ended and trapped inside his patrol car. He too was airlifted and is said to be okay.
