HOUSTON - A woman is recovering in the hospital this morning after her car was hit by an 18-wheeler on the East Freeway late Monday night.
According to officials, the woman’s car was stalled on the road and because the driver of the 18-wheeler didn’t see her in time, he slammed into the back of her car causing it to catch on fire.
The woman was taken to Memorial Hermann with burns on 30 percent of her body.
She is expected to survive.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.
