Innocent customer killed during convenience store robbery in Southeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX - Tragedy strikes the Food and Go Convenience Store in Southeast Houston. Late Tuesday night, two men entered the store attempting to rob it. Police say there was a patron there when two black males entered the store. One of the two men immediately went to him, a struggle ensued and the victim was shot.

The victim, Joe Hillsman, 37, was taken to Ben Taub Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Both suspects fled the scene empty handed in a silver sedan and are still al large.

The first suspect is a black male 20 to 26 years old wearing a red hoodie with a black stripe down both sides. The second suspect was wearing a dark blue hood with a black jacket, gray pants and black shoes.
