VERO BEACH, FL – The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office says Patrick Rempe was high on flakka when he rammed his car into the county jail, shattered the glass doors, and barely missed a deputy who was outside on patrol.

The 24-year-old then allegedly backed up, drove into a razor wire fence, and subsequently attempted to climb it.

“We continue to see the flakka travel north .. it is a plague,” says Sheriff Deryl Loar.

Rempe faces charges like aggravated assault and driving under the influence.
